I first started see Dr. Fiona McCulloch in October 2010. Initially I was skeptical, but felt after 10 months of trying to have a baby naturally at the age of 37, I thought I had nothing to lose.

She was the first person to tell me what condition I had: PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome. I had never even heard of it before. It was like she put the pieces of the puzzle together for me regarding my health issues over the years, and the history of my ovaries. It was a real “eureka” moment for me in my life!

As soon as I started seeing her, she put me on a strict diet and gave me some supplements. Still skeptical, I thought, I might as well give her way a try. She also came very highly recommended to me by a former colleague whom I trust, so I just went with whatever she said/advised me to do – it also helps to have some hope and faith deep down inside, which she always encouraged me to hold on to.

Soon, I got to know Dr. Fiona, and found her to be very caring. Sure enough, in exactly one month, (from October 9th-November 9th, 2010) she got me ovulating, and I finally got my period! I was so happy to be flowing again, and I felt feminine and hopeful for the first time in months. I continued to have weekly acupuncture appointments with her, and took the supplements that she prescribed me. There were many times when I broke down and cried, and she let me do so, comforted me, and told me not to lose hope. When she went on maternity leave in March 2011, I missed her. I continued with the supplements she gave me, and went for acupuncture somewhere else in the meantime, as I wanted to keep up the regime she prescribed for me.

At the same time, I was attending a reputable fertility clinic downtown, since December, 2010. They confirmed - after Dr. Fiona had months earlier - that I indeed had PCOS. I had a few fertility procedures performed at the clinic from March-July, 2011, with negative results. I continued to take the supplements from Dr. Fiona, and would e-mail her on occasion with updates. Even with a little baby at home, she was very prompt at getting back to me. In July, 2011, I went for a final procedure – my third IUI. I remember her telling me acupuncture was very important right before a procedure; that it increased a woman’s chances to conceive by 40%.

All her well-researched advice she gave me during our lengthy consultations over the months, always seemed to pop into my head. I decided to have acupuncture twice the week of my last procedure.

On August 8, 2011, I received the news I had been waiting for: I was pregnant with my first child! My last procedure had worked! I called Dr. Fiona right away. She reminded me that she did mention to me in our first meeting, that most women who have PCOS will get pregnant within a year of seeing her. Of course, I must have forgotten about that, as I was so impatient! I do remember her saying something to that effect vaguely now! She was right. It took me about 10 months, and it eventually did happen for me, especially with her guidance and support along the entire, emotional way!

I continued to see her for acupuncture for miscarriage prevention for 3 months. I did everything I could to get pregnant with her help, and I wanted to do everything to stay pregnant with her help!

I continue to e-mail Dr. Fiona to this day, and take the supplements she has recommended for me now that I am pregnant. I will definitely continue with whatever else she may suggest for me in future.

I trust Dr. Fiona with every fiber of my being. She has been a miracle worker, a friend, a true professional, and she will always be a part of my journey in starting my own family.

Sometime in 2001 I came to know Dr Fiona for treating my digestion issues and the extreme fatigue I was experiencing as an outcome of it. Within the first few minutes of talking with her, I felt an ease with her and she could understand very clearly what was happening to my body. A week into her treatment when I saw how wonderfully my health was coming back, I knew she was really a healer par excellent!

Since then Dr Fiona has treated not only me but also my husband. He suffers from a sun sensitivity that triggered excema on his face area and when regular medicines gave no relief or explanation, her treatment helped resolve the problem. In the past few years many scores of my friends & relatives have now joined my list of people who have been cured by Dr Fiona and all of them agree that her patience in listening to individual needs and problems in itself sets the path for the healing to begin at once. Recently, a cousin of mine who has been trying to get pregnant for many years called and let me know that Dr. Fiona's treatment has resulted in her finally getting pregnant. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost 4 years when I contacted Fiona McCulloch of White Lotus Naturopathic Clinic. We have been trying to start a family for more than 5 years but due to both our infertility issues we were unsuccessful. We went through a IVF cycle where I did get pregnant but they suspected it to be an ectopic pregnancy as they were unable to see a gestational sac. Six months later I conceived naturally but miscarried in the 9th week. We tried to conceive naturally for the next two years but were not successful and hence we were considering to do a frozen embryo transfer and so I decided to start preparing my body for it with natural medicines.

Dr. Fiona was highly recommended by a family member and hence we contacted her and she was extremely prompt in giving us an appointment on the phone and she went through in detail both mine and my husband’s history. Dr. Fiona prescribed appropriate dosages of natural medicine and various other vitamins and asked us to be patient and told us that it would take atleast three months for the medication to take effect. She asked me to start Body basal temperature charting so that she could figure out if there were any problems in my cycle. Dr. Fiona was an excellent resource in providing us with dietary and lifestyle changes and was extremely responsive in answering all our questions. She understands what infertility can do for your mental makeup and told us to be optimistic as I had been pregnant twice before.

After a few months of our medications and still no result , we contacted her to decide when would be an appropriate time for me to go through a Frozen embryo transfer. Dr. Fiona prescribed a different set of medicines so that she could help prepare my body for the transfer.

It’s around the same time that we discovered that I was pregnant - we were thrilled that we conceived naturally and our pregnancy is going well . Dr. Fiona has been extremely supportive and been checking in on how my pregnancy is progressing and providing me with a good prenatal vitamin to support my pregnancy. 

We are extremely thankful to her for the treatment plan and making one of our dreams come true.

Dr. Fiona was great! After 5 years of attempting to conceive naturally, by AI & by IVF, I decided to inquire about acupuncture to do in conjunction with my treatment. Dr. Fiona answered all my questions, gave me advice & suggestions and always had some additional info ready for me to read up on. I followed the diet plan she provided which was easy to follow (& she didn’t even judge when I cheated the occasional time!). The 2nd time we did a complete IVF cycle, I did the acupuncture along with the treatments and we conceived a beautiful baby girl! I began Fiona’s fertility program in February 2010. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for about 4 months at that time and, even though I knew that wasn’t a long time compared to other couples, I was desperate to get pregnant. A friend of mine told me acupuncture was supposed to help with fertility, and I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a try.

From my very first visit with Fiona, I felt a renewed sense of hope. Fiona spent a lot of time getting to know me in an attempt to understand any imbalances in my life that might be contributing to my inability to get pregnant. I always knew I had a lot of stresses in my working life, but I didn’t fully understand how bad it was and how big an impact it was having on me until I started working with Fiona. I continued to see Fiona for the first 6 weeks of my pregnancy, and she really helped calm my nerves. She even referred me for bloodwork so we could monitor my pregnancy hormones to ensure everything was progressing well, and spent an entire Friday evening calling the lab every hour until midnight to get my results so she could put my mind at rest.

As you can see, Fiona is pretty amazing – she is passionate about what she does and takes an active interest in getting to know her patients and helping them achieve their goals. I highly recommend her services to all couples who are trying to get pregnant and will always be grateful for her help in making my dreams of getting pregnant come true. Although my journey was longer than I had originally hoped, it was definitely worth the wait. There’s nothing more magical than experiencing the joy of being pregnant.

Dr. Fiona McCulloch is the kindest professional person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and dealing with. She truly cares about our family's health and her ability to carefully listen and decipher all of our past health issues - shingles, cysts, mononucleosis, strep throat infections, candida, etc… has been one of her most valuable gifts.

I've known Dr. Fiona for more than 2 years already and she has basically become my primary health care provider. I came to her office
with infertility issues but I kept going to Dr. Fiona for everything
else as well. We have a beautiful baby girl now and if we have another
child in a couple of years I will definitely go back to Dr. Fiona to
prepare for pregnancy at least several months in advance. I really
appreciate that she treats you in a holistic manner, working with the cause of the problem and not only treating symptoms as would most
